This past weekend was our country’s birthday. It was filled with fireworks, family, friends and food…lots of food; all of which made this Independence Day a fantastic celebratory stream of events. It was great to be able to connect with people I hadn’t seen for years and make some more great memories with my family and friends. However, I think the highlight of my weekend (besides my first trip to Red, White & Boom) was looking at how people, my friends included, acknowledged the American holiday.
